So over the past few months I have been nudged to write. I appreciate others' blogs and pages. Reading inspirational insight leads me to think, question my "stances" and be focused on all that is pure, good and purposeful.
I am not a Pastor or on the staff of a church, just another soul that is walking out life on the earth, hoping to impact, impart and encourage others that JESUS is the real deal. I finally have come to grips that I guess I am a Jesus Freak....a crazy Christian...my prayer is that lives that I connect with understand that all the good if from Him, and I am still a work in progress. Almost blew off the blog thing out of intimidation. Who cares what I think? Plus, I am surrounded with friends and family (you know who you are) that are AMAZING writers, you know, the stuff that is perfectly worded and expressed every time. But still....the little voice says, write....if only for yourself.
So, welcome in..... be blessed and encouraged, my friend!!
Gateway Church is my home, and the Freedom & Prayer departmentsare where I volunteer. The reason I volunteer there is I have been fed, encouraged, challenged and planted in the Kingdom of God in a way that has never occurred before in my life. So, as 2010 unfolds, the desire to embrace the 21 day fast, to hear from God, walk closer to Him, and completely yield my life to Him surpasses any other passion.
Authentic and transparent people are my favorite. Wall building, holding back, pretenders are NOT on my A list. Jesus was REAL. He was emotional and fun, passionate and purposeful, and he held no grudges. So,.... one of the pursuits of 2010 for me is to "hold no offenses". Yep, just go ahead and let it go, forgive, look the other way, turn the other cheek, offer grace over and over again.
So, join me in if you dare....it's Biblical, Jesus did it. He asks us to do it. Can you release the hold? It isn't easy, but really really cool when you do. Let go, and Let's go for God!!
